Good Afternoon SMGA players,

High Performance Development Day - 2018.

To get a kick start into golf for 2018, this is the day for you, Golf Challenges, Flight Scope Challenges and training notes to take home. If your aged 8-12 years of age and have a GA, then this is for you. IMPORTANT NOTE:

I would expect all HP Squad members not on holidays to be entering this unique training event.

For those who want to be apart of the WA Development Squad this will be great learning session to see what will be required by yourself to better your golf in 2018

This will not be coaching it will be CHALLENGES set out in place to be better.

South Australian Tour Results. Our South Australian tour was a great success for Golf WA, winners all over the place, SMGA finished very strong with results 5th, 7th & 10th in the SA Junior AM and 7th, 11th and 15th in the SA Masters. MyGolf 2018. The MyGolf Tour kicks off today at Royal Perth, we usually have 20+ players every event and we want this tradition to continue into 2018, best of luck today SMGA players. US Kids 2018 Our 2nd event will be held on the 21st of Jan at MGC, please support the local tour to build the ties with Australian US Kids events. Australian Am Results. This week we had Yeah-Jin and Alysha representing themselves and the Academy at the Aussie AM held at Wanneroo and Lake Karrinyup, both girls played well but a couple of poor shots in each round cost them their chances of qualifying to the match-play rounds. Malaysian US Kids Big shout out to the young man pictured below (Illys), who represented himself and SMGA at the recent Malay US Kids Open, so much learned and experienced gained. 2018 brings new challenges and goals for this young fella.

Best of luck to Jey and Nat who are over in Sydney playing in the Australian US Kids Open this week. We have currently 2 new sponsors but we need 2-3 more to make this happen. We will be using some of the sponsorship to look into new teaching aids & technology for the academy. Coach of The Year Nominations Again I have been nominated for the Coach of the Year in WA, there are two categories "Coach of the Year" & "Development Coach of the Year" I will be in both categories, fingers crossed for the Academy.

Private Lessons If you are looking at private lessons in 2018 please inform me ASAP so we can set out times and dates that suit, if your already having lessons these will continue unless you notify me that you will be taking a break.

TERM 1, 2018 PROMO - building to be better.

To maintain the steady growth of the Academy from junior to adults beginners to elite it takes a big effort on your behalf. Word of mouth is the most powerful promotion, we can use all social media outlets possible, schools fliers etc BUT you guys are the promoters. 2018 will see a new promotion in term 1. To keep growing we want you to spread the word on how much fun you guys have in your classes, every new student in 2018 that you introduce to golf will use the PROMO Code SMGA2018 and both you and your friend will receive TERM 1 half price. This code will have a space on the 2018 invoices when you return them to me. For ALL New students not introduced by a current student then there is still a great discount on your term 1 fees - you will save 25% term 1, all invoices will be handed out week 1. Term 1 will commence on Friday 2nd at 4pm, all classes remain the same and students will remain in the same classes as 2017, after the first week or so and we have settled in, then students maybe moved to new classes. Registration is not required once in the program, only NEW students require to give me contact numbers, age and email addresses.

Teaching Equipment & Technology 2018 we will be adding to our teaching aids, we already have, superspeed-sticks, putting-aids etc and will be adding Gravity Fit for fitness/swing mechanics and throughout the year we hope to add some sort of Computer systems to better understand our swings. (Flightscope/Trackman). If your interested in the Gravity Fit equipment then we get a great discount with my code.

Adult Clinics We will take a break from Friday December 15th through to Jan 31st 2018, our clinics will resume as per normal from Wednesday 31st Jan 9.30a.m Junior/Senior Fitness Camps.
